The Brief

Moda in Pelle is a retailer of high-end, high street, ladies shoes. Founded in Leeds in 1975, they now have nearly 60 high street shops and pride themselves on delivering affordable luxury, comfort and elegance. They wanted a complete overhaul of their existing site using Magento Enterprise which added better functionality and better communicated the brand values to its customers.

The Approach

We worked closely with Moda in Pelle to scope out the necessary functionality as well as with third party suppliers to integrate other internal systems. As the project progressed, we took the site through rigorous beta testing. We also spent time ensuring that the server was optimised for the Magento platform and we provided training to Moda in Pelle employees to ensure a smooth transition to the new site.

The Results

Focusing on the user experience, we helped Moda in Pelle upgrade its old website to an entirely new mobile responsive site that drove a 68% increase in mobile transactions in the first two months after launch, drove down page load times, and encouraged users to interact more deeply with the site. The new site included provisions for a click-and collect service, new loyalty scheme and customer account area offering a true omni-channel shopping experience.

Engagement with the site has improved, meaning people are having a much better experience of the Moda in Pelle which is also more in keeping with the whole brand narrative. This has helped Moda in Pelle change its own brand narrative. The site itself was nominated for an award based on the improved user experience and the way in which the modifications made to the base Magento platform delivered a fantastic end result.
