The Client
King of Servers is a B2B e-commerce business selling servers and IT hardware. When they approached us, they were in the process of launching the business and were looking for help with their Magento website and their digital marketing.
The Challenge
King of Servers had a Magento website which needed to integrate with a third party database to update pricing on thousands of products multiple times a day. In addition, work undertaken by the previous marketing agency had led to a Google penalty. As a new brand, with little visibility or brand awareness, King of Servers needed to convince sceptical IT professionals to trust them to provide expensive, highly vital equipment.

The Approach
We worked with King of Servers to build a development roadmap to fix the most important issues on the site and then turn to dealing with conversion rate and user experience. At the same time, we built a paid search and Google shopping campaign to begin to drive sales immediately while working to get the Google penalty lifted. In addition, we began content marketing and PR work in order to raise brand awareness amongst IT professionals and to help improve organic visibility.
Award-winning
Our work for King of Servers won the MPA award for innovation and an Online Retail Award.
It's also earnt one commendation and two further award nominations.
The Results
Our focus on resolving the issue of syncing King of Servers Magento website with a third party database, as well as devising a strategy that focused on UX, paid search and implementing a Google shopping campaign, meant revenue soared.
We also worked to raise brand awareness and highlight the quality IT products on offer from King of Servers. All of this work led to a substantial increase in such metrics as the conversion rate of the site, the average order value and revenue overall.
The growth in revenue has enabled King of Servers to expand its team and to add in new product lines.
