I-COM and LinkedIn partnered up for a dedicated recruiter event.
The event proved incredibly popular and went down a storm with the packed room of more than 70 recruiters.
After a hearty breakfast, the room was buzzing with energy and the hash tag #icomrecruiter was on fire, with attendees tweeting all morning...
Presentations on the day were from:
Graham Allchurch, Head of Content at I-COM. Graham talked about the difficulties of creating a social media strategy and explained why planning is key.
Anyone remember ‘Plandemonium’? ere’s Graham’s Prezi to jog your memories.
Jennifer Smith, Employment Solicitor at JMW. Jennifer took to the stand and educated everyone on the hot topic of LinkedIn connections, asking the question: Who owns these connections?
And last, but definitely not least, was Clara McCarthy, Account Executive – Search and Staffing at LinkedIn. Clara flew in from Dublin especially for the event, and it was certainly well worth it.
Clara kicked off by highlighting some of the top LinkedIn users in the room:
Earliest adopter – Matthew Owens, Instinct Resourcing
Most connected – Claire Lomax, Instinct Resourcing
Most popular – Tina Lacey, R3 Welfare and Skills
Most endorsed – Will Kenny, Will 101 Consulting Ltd
Unfortunately only Tina was there on the day, the rest must have been busy building those LinkedIn profiles :-)
