Job Title: Managing Director

  • What’s the day job?

As Managing Director of I-COM, I help steer the agency's direction and keep things moving day to day. I stay closely involved across the business, support the team, work with clients and often act as the behind-the-scenes person who helps make things happen.

A big part of my role is spotting opportunities, solving problems and ensuring we keep improving in a digital world that rarely sits still.

  • What are your areas of expertise or specialised knowledge?

My strengths are listening properly, understanding what actually matters, and drawing on a broad mix of commercial, technical and practical experience to solve problems.

I enjoy connecting the dots between people, marketing, technology, operations and commercial goals to find practical ways forward.

I also have a strong interest in AI, innovation and smarter ways of working, particularly where technology can help people do better work and create better outcomes.

  • Do you have any certifications or additional training related to your field?

I have a First Class degree in Computing. While much of what I learnt over 20 years ago has long since been overtaken by new technology, the logical thinking, problem-solving and curiosity it developed have stuck with me.

Most of what I know today has come from practical experience, running and growing a business, solving real problems, working with clients and learning along the way.

  • What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?

Outside of work, I have a strong interest in business, investment and property. I enjoy speaking with other business owners, sharing ideas and learning how other people think.

I also enjoy the occasional visit to the gym (very occasional on some weeks), playing badminton, exploring new food and drink spots and, most importantly, spending time with family.

  • Extras:

Favourite Film: I don't really have one. For me, films are mostly a good excuse to switch off.
Favourite Song: No particular favourite, but 90s R&B is usually a safe bet.
Favourite Quote / Phrase / Saying: “Chance favours the prepared.”
