What's the day job?
As a PR and Brand Marketing Strategist, I help our clients to achieve their objectives by developing and delivering creative campaigns, making sure they reach the right people at the right time.
I help to place our clients in the publications that matter to them, ultimately leading to greater brand awareness and securing those all-important links.
The best thing about my job is the fact I get to work with such a diverse range of brands, meaning that no two days are ever the same.
Life before I-COM
In 2014 (wow, I'm old) I graduated from university with a first-class honours degree in Psychology and spent a couple of years working in retail and visual merchandising whilst simultaneously figuring out how to 'adult'. Spoiler alert - I still haven't.
A couple of years later, I took on an internship in a Manchester PR agency. I was offered a permanent role two weeks into my placement and this is where I spent my first four years in the industry. I gained experience working on a wide range of clients, both B2B and B2C, and contributed to a number of award-winning campaigns.
When I'm not at work
You'll most likely find me eating my way around Manchester or sweating it out in a Barry's Bootcamp class. I also have two very big, stupid Weimaraners that I love to walk (okay, it's more like them walking me) and I'm at my happiest when they're dragging me across Formby beach.
Like many others, my passion for hiking was ignited by the pandemic and having recently conquered Helvellyn, I'm planning lots more adventures. Next stop, Everest...
