Cleo Chaisty

Head of Digital PR

Position/Title & Department: Head of Digital PR

  • What’s the day job?

Running the Digital PR team! This means working closely with the SEO and Content teams to develop creative and engaging campaigns that promote our clients to national media and get them in front of their target audiences. I mostly spend my time either trying to come up with creative ideas, trying to turn those ideas into a reality, or liaising with journalists to build our relationships with key publications.

  • What are your areas of expertise or specialised knowledge?

My background is mostly Digital PR - so PR and communications that generate brand awareness, while also improving the SEO value of our client’s sites. The campaigns I create generally aim to secure coverage (ideally links) in high-quality, relevant online publications, while also building our client’s brand profile and authority in their industry.

I have also worked in more traditional PR agencies, and I think there is still huge value in traditional PR because, as important as digital is, we can’t forget that not everyone is always online!

  • Do you have any certifications or additional training related to your field?

Nothing official - I have a degree in English and Creative Writing and over a decade of promoting everything from pond filtration services and rail replacement buses to high-end jewellers and inclusive clothing brands!

  • What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?

If you checked my Monzo wrapped, I think 85% of my spending would be on gig and festival tickets. Watching live music and theatre is my favourite way to spend my free time. I also taught myself how to crochet recently - so far I’ve made two and a half hats!
