  • What’s the day job?

I work as an email marketing strategist, partnering with a mix of e-commerce and lead generation clients. My day-to-day revolves around building and refining email programmes that perform, from writing and scheduling newsletters to designing multi-step automations that respond to user behaviour.

I spend a lot of time analysing audience segments, identifying gaps, and making sure content is tailored and relevant at every stage. There’s always a fair bit of A/B testing going on too (subject lines, send times, content blocks), whatever’s needed to lift performance. Once the campaigns are live, I review metrics and user journeys to find out what’s working and where we can optimise further.

Ultimately, the role is a blend of strategy, content, and analysis - making sure emails don’t just get opened, but actually drive results.

  • What are your areas of expertise or specialised knowledge?

I specialise in email marketing strategy, with a skill set that spans content writing, email design, and data analysis. My focus is on creating campaigns that not only look good but also perform - combining engaging, on-brand content with structured testing and performance review.

I’m experienced across a wide range of email platforms, including Klaviyo, Dotdigital, Mailchimp, Bloomreach and Sharpspring, so I can adapt to different client ecosystems with ease. That flexibility also helps when building automations, segmenting audiences, and tailoring workflows to meet specific business goals.

Analysing results is a big part of what I do, I track the campaigns closely to identify what’s driving results and where there’s room to improve. From subject line tests to lifecycle journeys, I take a data-informed approach to optimise each campaign and help clients get more out of their email marketing.
