Position/Title & Department: Email Marketing Strategist

What’s the day job? 

Helping clients get more from their email marketing by turning customer data and good ideas into campaigns that people actually want to receive. My role covers everything from developing email and automation strategies to improving segmentation, customer journeys, personalisation and deliverability. I also spend plenty of time analysing performance, testing new ideas and finding opportunities to make emails more useful for customers, and more valuable for clients.

How many years of professional experience do you have? 

Six years of experience across email marketing, CRM, digital marketing and content. 

What are your areas of expertise or specialised knowledge? 

Email marketing strategy, CRM, campaign planning, marketing automation, customer journeys, segmentation and personalisation. I’m particularly interested in email deliverability and using data to move brands away from batch-and-blast campaigns towards more relevant, targeted communication. I also have experience with performance reporting, A/B testing, email design and copy, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, HubSpot and wider digital marketing strategy.

Do you have any certifications or additional training related to your field? 

I hold Klaviyo Practitioner, Klaviyo Product and Klaviyo Deliverability certifications. I’ve also completed the Email Deliverability Certification Programme from Astral and Beth O’Malley, covering sender reputation, authentication, list health, inbox placement and deliverability strategy. I began my career through a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Unilever and have undertaken further training in Google Analytics, CRM and email marketing.

What are your interests or hobbies outside of work? 

Outside of work, I play hockey, enjoy running and volunteer with Samaritans Manchester and Salford. I’m also usually cooking something unnecessarily elaborate, attempting to perfect my coffee, watching films or heading off on a road trip camping
