Not for Profit
Working with I-COM was an absolute pleasure, their web design team quickly came up with an innovative design that captured what we wanted to portray. I would not hesitate to recommend I-COM to anyone looking to undertake a major web design or web development project.
Redesigned and redeveloped the charity's website to accomodate new informational pages. Implemented an easy to use content management system to allow for future growth.
Foundation for Peace first came to I-COM in 2007 and asked us to develop a user friendly, easy to navigate website that would allow Foundation for Peace to communicate with its visitors, as well as any groups interested in making a donation to the charity.
In 2011, the charity asked us to complete further work, including a redesign and a CMS that would allow them to update their website without incurring further costs.
We sat down with the Foundation for Peace team and discussed what exactly they would like to achieve, then put together a strategy of design and development updates designed to ensure they got everything they needed from upgraded website.
Our project management and client services teams stayed in close contact with Foundation for Peace throughout the project, making sure they were kept fully up to date at every stage of the process. We then provided in depth training in use of the brand new content management system, briefing them on its capabilities.
Foundation for Peace was born out of tragedy. In 1993 an IRA bomb placed in Warrington, Cheshire, exploded, killing Timothy Parry and Johnathan Ball. The parents of Timothy, Colin and Wendy Parry, decided to channel their grief into the formation of an educational peace charity. The charity aims to inspire people to lead more peaceful lives by participating in educational programmes. This enables individuals and groups to better understand conflict and, by doing so, to reduce or eliminate violence from situations affecting them.
