The Client

Cleansweep Hire is a specialist cleaning equipment hire company, providing industrial cleaning machines including pedestrian and ride on scrubber dryers, sweepers and small road sweepers throughout the UK.

I-COM was approached to develop a user-friendly website that would be easy to update with new industrial cleaning machines, and to increase organic traffic in order to reduce the ecisting site's dependency on pay per click advertising. The client was also interested in understanding which elements of their advertising and maerketing budget were providing the best returns and results.

The Solution

I-COM’s solutions to the brief included:

The design and development of the new content managed website site was imperative to the success of Cleansweep Hire’s online business. I-COM's design and development teams improved the site's look, feel and usability, with the aim of not only making the site appear more professional, but also improving the navigation and product visualisations. The result was the creation of a user-friendly and search engine friendly site. The inclusion of customer reviews and video implementation also aided visitor information and conversion.

The Results

cleansweep1.pngBoth the SEO and PPC campaigns generated fantastic results and the website has experienced substantial growth in traffic, enquiries and hires month-on-month. The web design, development, SEO and paid search teams worked together to ensure the Cleansweep Hire website was present within the results for a wide spectrum of keywords.

Following extensive testing of several spending patterns, and utilising the Advanced Ad Scheduling tools in Google Adwords, the PPC campaign was refined so that traffic was generated at optimum days of the week and times of the day.

The SEO campaign year-on-year has delivered exceptional results. The start of this year has been no exception: the period from 1st January to 28th February 2011 compared with the same period in 2010 demonstrates an increase in organic traffic of 127%. Expert management of the pay per click campaigns also delivered over 240 contacts via the website and over 730 calls direct from the website. This delivered the highest number of hires in January & February 2011 ever recorded for the business.

This increase in sales is attributable to the dramatic increase in traffic to the website from organic listings for a wide range of keywords across the four main search engines - Google, Yahoo and Bing. This is demonstrated for the search term “sweeper hire” as shown in the screen shots.
