Can you make my logo bigger?

Good question.
Of course we can.  We can make it take up the WHOLE screen if you want.

But then who's going to be able to buy your products if all they can see on your website is is your logo?

Whilst your logo and your brand are very important to you, there are times and places for that logo bragging.  Taking up a vast amount of real estate on a webpage that's supposed to sell your products or achieve your charitable goals isn't one of them.

Of course, if it's an 'About Us' page talking about the heritage of your brand and how your logo has evolved in the past, then we'll make your logo REALLY big.

If you're in any doubt about our expert opinion on this matter, just Google "make my logo bigger" for all the information you'll need to explain why it really should be the size we say.

There's too much wasted space on my design.  Can you fill it up with call to actions or photographs of me please?

Ah yes, the white space.  Sometimes referred to as "Negative Space".  Far from being negative, this space serves the purpose of leading a user's eye to important information on the page.  For example, leaving a little space around your logo has the same effect of making it bigger, without looking as clumsy.

Our designers pore over usability reports and are experienced in designing page layouts that help a user get the information they want.  Layouts will be different depending on the purpose of the page.  For example a PPC landing page will be quite different to a product detail page.

For more information Google "White space in page layouts".

I need to send you some files.  In what format should I send them?

It depends on what you're sending.  You can't go far wrong sticking to the guidelines below:

  • Pictures - JPG and at as high a resolution as possible, but no less than 72dpi at the size you want your image to appear.
  • Logos - Ideally we'd like the vector version (.eps or .ai [CS4 or earlier]) with either the fonts as outlines or with the fonts accompanying your logo files. If you can't provide the original artwork file then a high resolution .png with a transparent background is the next best option.  Failing that, a high resolution .jpg or .gif will do.
