I-COM offers lovers something special for Valentine’s Day
07/02/2011
Manchester-based search engine marketing and web development specialist I-COM has devised a spectacular new social media campaign to support online fashion retailer I Love 2 Love.
The campaign, which runs until Valentine’s Day, uses the retailer’s Facebook page, its Twitter feed and its own blog to drive to traffic to www.il2l.com, where customers can buy leather and leather-look jackets from designer brands such as Bench, Hooch and Peter Werth.
The campaign involves giving away hundreds of Valentine’s Day treats to online shoppers at the site. The gifts include scented candles, bath bombs and sweets, as well five extra special surprise gifts that will be awarded at random to five lucky shoppers in the run up to 14th February.
The Valentine’s Day giveaway is the second major social media campaign that I-COM has managed for I Love 2 Love in the last three months.
I-COM Managing Director Tim Roberts said: “We already handle search engine optimisation for I Love 2 Love and have radically improved the site’s traffic and rankings in key areas, but as a fashion retailer social media is becoming increasingly important.
“Social media and search have become inextricably linked to the point that, thanks to campaigns like the current Valentine’s Day promotion, Facebook has become one of the biggest referring sites for I Love 2 Love and its importance is just going to keep on growing.”
I-COM is one of Manchester’s fastest growing internet marketing agencies. Established in 2005, it now employs 30 people at its Manchester City Centre offices. Key clients include Dreams, Confetti and Pannone.
