Four new faces as I-COM expands

Manchester full-service online marketing specialist I-COM has made four new appointments as the business continues to expand.

The appointments come on the back of a rush of projects the agency has completed for new and existing clients including external furniture manufacturer Bailey Streetscene, exterior design and construction specialists The Red Group, building services consultants BPM Group and engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultants Core Talent.

The firm has also recently won contracts for Hattons Solicitors, Premier Estates and Cottrills Solicitors.

Heading the list of new recruits is project manager Jordan Mellor. Jordan has 4 years experience in digital marketing and joins I-COM from Origination in Derby, where he worked on clients including Derby County Football Club, BuyMobiles.net, University of Derby and Manchester Airport Group.

The other new faces at I-COM are SEO consultant Emma Welsby, who has joined the agency from Lakestar Media, systems administrator Peter Hubberstey, who was previously at Opal Telecom, part of The Carphone Warehouse group, and trainee SEO consultant Tim Smith, who has been on an internship at I-COM since graduating from Cardiff University.

The recruitment drive takes the total headcount at I-COM’s Manchester city centre offices to 34.

Managing director Tim Roberts said: “2011 has been a busy year for I-COM and the agency is continuing to expand with a number of new projects set to get underway before the end of 2011.

“Digital is an important channel for nearly every business but this year in particular businesses have been focusing on it because they want a tangible return on every pound they invest.”

I-COM is one of Manchester’s largest online marketing agencies, with key clients including Confetti, Magnus and JMW Solicitors.

The agency’s work has enjoyed a raised profile over the past 12 months. Its campaigns have been nominated in categories at both the DADI - in which it received a commendation - and the Some Comms awards, while its free web clinics for companies looking for advice in improving their online performance regularly attract over 30 Manchester-based businesses.
