Big Bonus for Recruiter Sellick Partnership, and it's All Thanks to Twitter

10/02/2011

Specialist legal and financial recruitment firm Sellick Partnership is celebrating its social media success today, after a member of its team matched a candidate with a vacancy using Twitter.

After receiving social media training and encouragement from Manchester-based online marketing firm I-COM, Sellick Partnership's team threw themselves wholeheartedly into the world of social media marketing, and now they're reaping the rewards.

"When we first started using Twitter, we knew it would be great for our brand awareness online, but we weren't sure how profitable it would be for our business" explains the Sellick Partnership's MD.

"However, this recent placement has proven that social media isn't just about improving your brand profile online - it can also generate a direct ROI."

I-COM MD Tim Roberts was similarly pleased with Sellick Partnership's success: "It's great to see quantifiable financial success from a social media campaign.

"Whilst the team at I-COM know that using social media can generate indirect ROI for a business thanks to its ability to improve listings and brand visibility, it's encouraging to see that sites such as Twitter can also be powerful lead generation tools.

"This is particularly true of the recruitment industry - live update sites like Twitter allow recruiters to keep their followers completely up to date with the jobs on offer, whilst at the same time providing a forum for interview advice and general job search guidance.

"We expect to see more and more recruitment agencies using Twitter, and social media in general, as its potential becomes more and more obvious."
