I-COM has agreed to partake in this years corporate challenge, an
event that encourages 150 local companies to spend 50 to generate as
much as possible to donate to The Princes Trust.
We've got some great ideas about how we can make the most of our seed money which we'll be revealing over the next few weeks and hopefully some of our readers will get involved.

However, if you'd like to make a donation now just because you enjoy reading this blog so much, please feel free to make a donation via our JustGiving page at the following address http://www.justgiving.com/icomcorporatechallenge

On their Bikes - Manchester to Blackpool Charity Ride

Every year local hospital Christies organise a charity bike ride from Manchester to Blackpool. This year it's going to be held this Sunday 13th July. Full details and last minute registrations can be made here http://www.bike-events.com/Ride.aspx?id=164.
Anyway the reason for this post is that some of our friends Richard Green and Pete Terry along with their wives Kim and Pauline are undertaking the ride.
I'm not sure if the decision to do it was taken in a drunken moment but it was at rather short notice and they've just got their fundraising page up on Just Giving.
This isn't the first time they've done the ride but the last time was probably 15 years ago before children came along, so its bound to be a bit different this time!
If you feel able and would like to support Christies please go to their Just Giving page and donate what you can.
Thanks

Golfing for Peace

One of our favourite causes at I-COM is The Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace. We've built their website and like to help them wherever possible.
The Foundation was set up following the IRA bombing of Warrington in March 1993 when both Tim and Johnathan lost their lives and 56 other people were injured. Since then the Foundation (set up in memory of Tim and Johnathan) has worked with over 18,000 young people and adults to tackle some of the key issues facing our communities today prejudice, discrimination and violence. Each year approximately 4,000 people take part in their programmes covering issues of conflict resolution, citizenship, social and moral responsibility, peer mediation and mentoring.
We recently helped them with their golf day which raised 6,500 for the charity but they always need more.
Please take a look at their site to get an idea of the great things they do and perhaps think about how you might be able to help them.
