Gavin Stretch

Gavin Stretch joined I-COM because he saw an opportunity to be involved in the development of a design department in a flourishing new online marketing company. This March he will have been with I-COM for 6 years, making him the longest serving I-COM employee, and in that time he's seen the company grow to its current size (around 30 employees) which, in Gavin's words, is "pretty satisfying".

Gavin enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, from SMEs (some of whom have been with us as long as Gavin!) to big name brands like Dreams and Confetti, he says "It's a great feeling to have a client turn around and say they love the work you've done for them".

When asked for an interesting fact about his personal life, or a memorable moment, Gavin regaled us with a lengthy tale about an unpleasant injury. It's probably best if we leave it to him to tell the tale:

"Once upon a time, I came out a Manchester pub on a Friday night having had 3 pints of Guinness with the guys from work; not so dramatic you may think. However, whilst we were inside the pub it had been raining. As I departed I slipped on the tiles and broke my right knee cap clean in half. Ouch. No really, OUCH. Being a burly bloke, I didn't realise I'd broken it and proceeded to try and walk the 15 minutes to Piccadilly station. After a few steps I realised this wasn't going to happen, so I flagged down a taxi. I made it the 18 miles home, back to the hills, via taxi, train and a lift off my loving girlfriend with a broken knee cap. Pretty good eh?"
