History of I-COM "A Truly Epic Saga"

From its rather paltry beginnings in January 2004, crammed into the attic of Victoria House in Platt Fields, I-COM is now well on its way towards internet marketing greatness (it's a company history page, we think we're allowed to blow our own trumpet a little).

I-COM began as the brainchild of Tim Roberts and Ravi Bhalla, company Managing Director and Technical Director respectively, and at first everything was simple. The company operated out of a tiny office, designing and building good quality websites for local Manchester firms and gradually building a reputation for reliable, efficient web design and development services.

In September 2006, after spending two years consolidating their existing knowledge about online marketing and web design, I-COM received significant investment from one of Manchester's biggest law firms: Pannone LLP. As a result the company was able to expand, allowing it to meet the needs of larger clients like Pannone, and by 2007 had moved into city centre offices on Lloyd Street, close to Manchester town hall.

The move into the city meant I-COM was much closer to Manchester's major transport links, not to mention businesses based in the centre itself. Between 2007 and 2010 I-COM expanded again, despite the increasingly harrowing economic climate, gradually outgrowing its existing office space.

I-COM now employs close to 30 people, and has dedicated departments for web development, web design, SEO, PPC and SEM, Copywriting and Social Media. In March 2011, the I-COM rebrand was launched, overhauling the rather tired looking old site and replacing it with a fresh, dynamic and engaging website that mirrors the company's approach to online marketing.
